Breastfeeding Month 2020

It’s been a busy month (virtually) celebrating all the Breastfeeding Weeks of August! Here’s a recap:

@waba_global

We kicked the month off with World Breastfeeding Week, focusing on sustainability with a theme, “Support Breastfeeding for a Healthier Planet.”

Nurture gave back to the community with world cookies and free workshops.

While August is a month of celebrating breastfeeding, it also is month to bring awareness and light to social inequities. During Native breastfeeding Week we hold space for Native voices.

Black Beastfeeding Week is important – if you want more information on why here is a great explanation. In Central Ohio we have two groups that provide amazing support to local Black families: Black Lactation Circle and ROOTT.

Thank you all for joining us in making Breastfeeding Month a success! We appreciate all the comments, likes, and shares on social media as we celebrated virtually this year đź’—
