COVID19 In-Home Consultation Safety Protocol

Nurture In-Home Lactation and Physical Therapy Consultations are available with safety protocols in place for both staff and clients. Virtual consultations will continue to be available, allowing families to choose the service that fits their needs. Please reach out with any questions on how we can best serve you!

Update 4/25/2023 – Masking is optional. Please kindly email info@nurturecolumbus.com to request your consultant masks during your appointment.

The following are required protocols for both staff and clients (based on CDC recommendations for in-home lactation visits):

Nurture Columbus Staff Requirements

  • Take temperature of yourself and all in household and ensure yourself and all in household are symptom free at the beginning of each day.
    • Temperature should be below 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit.
    • Symptoms to watch for include: cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell.
  • Contact client within 24 hours of appointment to verify that all in their household is temperature and symptom free. If not, switch to virtual appointment.
  • Wear Surgical Mask during consultation.
  • Wash hands or use hand sanitizer at beginning and end of consult
  • Wear disposable medical gloves when touching parent or baby.
  • Remove shoes upon entering home.
  • Clean and disinfect all equipment used between each visit.

**All Nurture staff/interns are fully Covid Vaccinated

Client Requirements

  • Take your temperature and all in household prior to consultation. Notify Nurture Columbus if anyone has a temperature or symptoms to reschedule or switch to virtual consultation.
    • Temperature should be below 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit. 
    • Symptoms to watch for include: cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell.
  • Notify Nurture Columbus if you have been exposed to COVID-19 and are currently asymptomatic.
  • All adults present during the consultation must wear a mask, unless fully vaccinated.
